Professional interior designers combine critical and creative thinking, knowledge of building codes, and communication and technology for the purposes of improving quality of life, increasing productivity and protecting health, safety and the welfare of those who occupy the spaces they design.

Why Hire a Certified Kitchen Designer?

Certified Kitchen Designers (CKD) have a minimum of 7 years experience designing residential kitchen spaces. They are highly skilled in design, space planning and product selection and have extensive knowledge of building codes, flooring materials, appliances, and mechanical systems. They write specifications and draw plans that are easily interpreted by plumbers, electricians, and installers. A CKD must meet specific educational requirements and pass a comprehensive academic and practical exam.

What benefits do Licensed Builders provide?

Hiring a licensed builder offers many protections to the property owner, especially regarding residential property. First of all, a contractor can not obtain a license without possessing a minimum amount of experience and must pass a business management test. The applicant is also subjected to a criminal history background check, and must not have any unresolved contracting complaints outstanding. A licensed builder must carry a minimum amount of liability insurance, and is also required to carry workman’s compensation insurance to cover on-site injuries that may occur.
