KITCHEN & BATH DESIGNER


​Our design firm is seeking an experienced, multi-faceted kitchen and bath designer/commissioned salesperson to fill an immediate position within our staff.  The proper candidate must be adaptable to all design styles, must have a solid skill set concerning all areas of kitchen, bath and ancillary room design and sales, and must be able to effectively communicate with clients and potential clients in order to provide an outstanding level of quality and customer satisfaction.  The proper candidate must be able to consistently meet monthly sales goals set by management, retain problem solving skills that ensure expedient contract signing requirements, and routinely follow all administrative protocol set forth by our company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

​-5 years minimum kitchen and bath design and sales experience.  CKD and CBD licensing is preferred.
-Proficiency with AutoCad and or Chief Architect design programs, or the willingness to expediently obtain the skillset required for both.
-Ability to provide Bay Cabinetry & Design accurate records of past sales performance, references with contact information, and a full portfolio   presentation.
-Extensive experience in ordering and coordinating delivery times of all products pertaining to kitchen, bath and ancillary room design.
-Strong listening and communication skills.
-The ability to meet with clients and successfully determine and satisfy their functional needs, aesthetic preferences, and budget requirements.
-Experience in specifying and coordinating cabinetry, tile, flooring, lighting, accessories, wall treatments and counter tops as well as other solid   surfaces in an appealing and cohesive manner.
-A strong focus on unique, detailed design concepts.
-A very strong focus on client service and satisfaction.
-The ability to meet with clients in the evening and on weekends as needed.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Highly effective problem solving skills.
-The ability to successfully solicit professional services and obtain new clientele.
-The ability to expeditiously prioritize and execute professional obligations.
-General construction, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
-Experience communicating with industry partners, (e.g., builders, architects, etc.)
​-The ability to execute general administrative duties.
-The ability to consistently meet projected sales goals.
-The ability to provide absolute accountability for all projects under your supervision.
-The ability to successfully and objectively exercise problem solving skills without providing condemnation to any
  co-worker or industry professional.
-The ability to maintain a positive and constructively critical working relationship with fellow team members.

​DESIGN & SALES POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  

-Solicitation and rapid building of clientele base.
-Initial customer consultation and measurements.
-Formulation of ergonomic and safe floor plans, renderings, lighting diagrams, and accurate construction prints and materials. 
-Positive client communication and consultation during design development, as well as 
swift response times to all communications
throughout the entire design process.
-100% communication access for fast client service fulfillment.
-Order placement and supervision.
-Order acknowledgment supervision.
-Delivery supervision
-Product sample research and ordering
-Worksite project management.
-Installation supervision.
-Worksite troubleshooting.
-Builder/Architect communication, service and trouble-shooting.
-Material coordination and delivery management.​
-Customer greeting and assistance.    

-Customer walk-in contact and follow-up.
-Applicable office and administrative coordination duties.
-Resolution of any other work related issues as needed.

-The completion of deadlines concerning every aspect of the design process, including but not limited to:
     
      -Expedited facilitation of contracting and selling of supervised projects.
      -Drawing Submissions
      -Cabinetry Ordering
      -Product Specification
      -Product Ordering
      -Product Delivery
      -Installation Package Submission
      -Billing Procedures


​-Product ordering responsibilities include but are not limited to:
        
​      -Cabinetry
      -Counter tops and other solid surfaces
      -Lighting
      -Flooring
      -Paint and other wall treatments
      -Tile
      -Glass and steel products
      -Cabinet accessories and other hardware
      -Plumbing fixtures and fittings
      -Appliances
      -Decorative accessories

TRIM/FINISH CARPENTER:

​This individual will have five or more years of experience as a working carpenter with high end finishes, cabinetry, and molding installation. You must be able to read and comprehend prints and most importantly, make on-site construction related decisions, with the design intent in mind, to keep the project moving. You will need to maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and positive attitude and you must possess excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for performing the duties of a working carpenter, including leading and training other carpenters, taking a project from drywall to the final punch list, all while managing an exceptional client experience. All applicants must have their own tools and reliable transportation (truck or van preferred). Please submit your resume along with your desired pay requirements.

TILE SETTER:

Our company is seeking standout individuals whom are honest, trustworthy, hardworking, punctual, detail oriented, maintain clean appearance, along with being a good team player. Safety is a major concern so keeping a clean and tidy job site is a must. You are responsible to work independently solving problems. Tile Installer is required to have a minimum 3 years minimum experience in the field. Our company relies on good communication skills, reliable transportation; with a clean driving record (No felonies). Employee will be obligated to supply personal tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have at least 3 years of experience
-Own basic tile installation tools
-Have the ability to fabricate and apply cement backer board and waterproofing
-Clean and level the surface to be tiled
-Measure and cut tile to the precise specification
-Arrange tiles according to layout
-Prepare and apply mortar or other adhesives
-Have experience working with Marble, Travertine, Ceramic, porcelain, glass and other types of tile
-Working knowledge of patching and leveling floors using cement and sand mix
-Ability to apply grout and caulk properly
-Apply necessary finishes, such as sealants
